Veronica Vazquez
(Selena Quintanilla)
Is very excited to make her encore performance as Selena. A Nuyorican from the Bronx, Veronica has been singing, dancing and acting since she can remember. An alumni of the famed High School of the Performing Arts, Veronica has had the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall and is a three time winner at the Apollo Theater, NYC. She has had success with two #1 Billboard dance hits. She's presently working on her follow-up album to her previous albums: "V as in Veronica" and "Rise." She would like to thank her fiancé Lakei, her family and Element 119 for all their support.


Aaron Lohr
(Chris Perez)
Made his debut on stage at the early age of six; acting, singing and dancing in Anthony Newley's Musical Comedy, CHAPLIN, for the LA Civic Light Opera. He was also the Little Boy donned in a tux and top hat in Denise William's, LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE BOY video. He has had lead roles in films such as NEWSIES, D2-THE MIGHTY DUCKS and D3-THE MIGHTY DUCKS. He played Billy in the HBO original Movie PERFECT ASSASSINS and Mickey Dolenz in the VH1 original movie DAY DREAM BELIEVERS: THE MONKEES' STORY. His television appearances include recurring roles on SISTER, SISTER, TEEN ANGEL and FAMILY MATTERS. Among his vocal credits are four songs in Disney's animated feature, THE GOOFY MOVIE as the voice of MAX (Goofy's Son). Many remember him in the singing Gap commercials, including Gap-Leather in YOU JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH. And he felt privileged to dance in Selena's video TECHNO CUMBIA.


Mike Gomez

A noted actor for more than 25 years, Mike's upcoming TV guest appearances include recurring roles on Showtime's RESURRECTION BLVD, BROS. GARCIA and Telemundo's LOS BELTRAN. He has guest-starred in WALKER, TEXAS RANGER, CHICAGO HOPE, X-FILES, STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION and a recurring guest role in the series THE YELLOW ROSE among others. Mike was recently seen in the features LUMINARIAS and ROAD DOGZ. He co-starred in HEARTBREAK RIDGE, EL NORTE, MILAGRO BEANFIELD WAR, BORN IN EAST L.A., ZOOT SUIT, THE BORDER, THE PATRIOT, THE BIG LEBOWSKI, DANCE WITH ME and was the lead in SHORT CHANGED. Theatrical credits include the L.A. and Broadway productions of ZOOT SUIT, THE LAST ANGRY BROWN HAT, AUGUST 29TH, FATHERS AND SONS, THE IMPOSTER, HAMLET and the texas tour of SELENA FOREVER. Mike dedicates his performance to the memories of his father Concepcion Gomez, his stepfather, Esteban Ramirez and his mother Maria Ramirez who remains his inspiration.


Danny Bolero

A graduate of the American Center of Music Theater, is proud to be a part of SELENA. A founding member of the Plaza de la Raza players under the direction of his mentor, the late Margo Albert, he has performed throughout the United States. On Broadway Danny originated the role of Napthali in Andrew Lloyd Webber's new production of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, starring Michael Damian. Most recently he performed in the Rubicon's Theater production of WORLD GOES ROUND which earned him The Robbie Award nomination. He has performed in QUINCINERA and regionally in A CHORUS LINE, SIDE BY SIDE OVERTURES, NINE, PACIFIC OVERTURES, SHOW BOAT with Mr. Van Johnson and MAN OF LA MANCHA with Mr. Robert Goulet. He has received the L.A. Dramalogue Award for this performance as Che in EVITA. Television credits include JUDGING AMY, DOWN HOME, the pilot LOS ALVAREZ, BEVERLY HILLS 90210 and most recently JAG. As always, Danny dedicates this work to the memory of his mother and father, who keep him believing that dreams do come true.


Marta DuBois
(Marcella Quintanilla)
First starred in the feature film BOULEVARD NIGHTS which has become a cult classic within the Latino Community. Marta was in last year's critically acclaimed indie hit, LUMINARIAS as the lovable Sofia. Currently, Ms. DuBois has guest starred on television in Lifetime's THE DIVISION, the hit show THAT'S LIFE and Disney's EVEN STEVEN'S. However, she is most recognized for her recurring role as Tom Selleck's wife Michelle in the long-running series MAGNUM P.I. as well as the charismatic Ardra in STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION, guest starring roles in SISTERS, WALKER, TEXAS RANGER and MARTIN, plus her own ABC series titled TALES OF THE GOLD MONKEY. Her theatre credits include her critically acclaimed role of Evy in Neil Simon's THE GINGERBREAD LADY, the dramatic role of Claudia Draper in Tom Topor's NUTS, to the funny and lovable Billie Dawn in Garson Kanin's BORN YESTERDAY. She is also an enormously mellifluous singer with credits that include her successful show at the Cinegrill entitled A MUSICAL EVENING WITH MARTA DUBOIS. Ms. DuBois attributes her success and dedicates her performance to her mentor Mr. Sal Dano.


Christina Souza
(Selena - Matinee Performances)
Is proud to be a part of the cast of SELENA, A MUSICAL CELEBRATION OF LIFE. She was most recently seen as Michelle in DREAMGIRLS at the South Bay Civic Light Opera. You may have seen her in the most recent Herbal Essence commercial. "Are you the concierge?" She made her debut in Los Angeles with Bette Midler in the "Divine Miss Millennium Tour". She would like to thank her husband Ryan Souza for tolerating her unruly behavior, and her agent for...well...she would like to thank her husband.


Gabriel Gonzalez
(A.B. Quintanilla)
Born and raised in Los Angeles has been performing since the tender age of 6. He began showing early signs of stardom while performing for talent contests such as El Mercadito in East L.A. and at the Million Dollar Theater to name a few. Winning his spot amongst the top local talent in Los Angeles, Gabriel caught the attention of record and film executives in Mexico. By the age of 9 he completed his first solo album "Gabriel Gonzalez" and has since starred in many feature films, television shows and commercials. Bi-Lingual, bi-cultural and by no means ordinary, Gabriel's passion for music and the arts drove him further to more creative personal goals. Currently he is writing, singing and arranging vocals for one of the hottest eclectic bands in L.A., Quetzal. You can bet you will be seeing and hearing more from this Cool Cat. Gabriel would like to thank all his family and friends for all their love and support.


Liza Ybarra
(Suzette Quintanilla)
A Mexican-American from San Antonio, Texas, originally portrayed Suzette on the SELENA FOREVER NATIONAL TOUR. Liza fronted her own Tejano powerhouse band at age fourteen. At eighteen she performed for Edward James Olmos at San Antonio premiere of THE WONDERFUL ICE CREAM SUIT. Liza was one of the first to graduate from The Edgewood Fine Arts Academy and performed frequently in plays staged at the Majestic Theater and internationally prominent Guadalupe Theater in San Antonio. She studied theater and music at St. Phillips College. The rising vocalist presented an award for the Tejano Music Awards 2000 and was honored to be 1 of the 5 finalists for Selena. Liza enjoys composing her own songs, which she is working on her first album. Some of her biggest influences are Selena, Rocio Durcal, Juan Gabriel and her mother Rosa Ybarra, who taught her the first song "Over the Rainbow" in Spanish.


Mario Rocha
(Billy)
Was born and raised in Los Angeles and is proud of his familial roots in Monterrey Mexico. Mario started his professional career singing boy soprano in the opera CARMEN at the age of 9 and has never left the stage since. Mario studied voice performance at UCLA's School of the Arts, and theatre at the UCLA School of Theatre Film and Television where degrees in both have eluded him. Memorable experiences include: the Minstrel in ONE UPON A MATTRESS directed by Carol Burnett, risking life and limb in TERRITORY for Jacques Heim and singing "Under the Sea" in Caribbean waters at the depth of 120 ft to himself. Notable leads in: THE SCARLET LETTER, INTO THE WOODS, TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA, MAN OF LA MANCHA, and MY FAIR LADY. There is no greater fool and dreamer than Mario who thanks his beloved parents, his aunt Carmen, Lydia who smiles from above and She who remains in his heart.


Sal Lopez
(Accordion Man)
A veteran performer with theatre credits including PREMEDITATION, LA VICTIMA and AUGUST 29TH (Dramalogue Award), BLADE TO THE HEAT (Robbie Award nomination), BANDIDO, ZOOT SUIT, CORRIDOS TALES OF PASSION AND REVOLUTION (Bay Area Critics Circle Award), LORCA: CHILD OF THE MOON, WANTED EXPERIENCED OPERATORS and in South Coast Repertory's LA POSADA MAGICA. Sal has appeared in numerous TV shows and in over 35 feature films including FULL METAL JACKET, AMERICAN ME, PRICE OF GLORY, BORN IN EAST L.A. and SELENA. He has worked with notable directors Stanley Kubrick, Wim Wenders, Nicholas Roug and Mike Figgis. Recently Sal produced and starred in the film LUMINARIAS. Sal's upcoming film releases include GHOST OF A CHANCE, FLY PAPER and THE BANGER SISTERS (with Susan Sarrandon and Goldie Hawn). He would like to dedicate this performance to his family.


Deborah Ortega
(Bidi Bidi Bom Bom Mom #1)
Since making her professional debut in the First National Touring Company of the musical HAIR, Debbie has continued to hone her vocal and comedic skills on Broadway, in television, and in several motion pictures including THE GREAT OUTDOORS and HOCUS POCUS. Debbie has collaborated creatively along side her brother critically-acclaimed director and choreographer Kenny Ortega on several projects, most recently ALLY MCBEAL, and the 2000 ACADEMY AWARDS where she was featured with Robin Williams in the unforgettable tribute to South Park's "Blame Canada." A loving mother of two grown children, Jennifer and Angelo, Debbie entertains audiences singing with her band in several clubs in L.A. and San Francisco.


Leticia "Castaneda" Taylor
(Bidi Bidi Bom Bom Mom #2)
Has been singing and writing poetry since the age of five. She has been influenced by Shirly Temple, Bing Crosby, Linda Ronstadt, Vicente Fernandez, Jennifer Holiday, and gospel great Yolanda Adams! Her father with his guitar, and her mother with the words "you can do it mijita..." taught Leticia how to never be afraid to sing for anyone at anytime. From a little girl singing at Quincineras to a gospel singer at her church, she gives ALL thanks to God.


Roberto Alcaraz
(Behar/ Young Abraham)
Most recently appeared at the Kennedy Center's, Eisenhower Theater performing the lead in the musical PAQUITO'S CHRISTMAS. Mr. Alcaraz also performed the one-man show WHEELS, about a young man's encounter with race, privilege and the immigrant experience. Roberto has lent his talent to the Nosotros Theater production of ZAPATISTAS as Marcos. He performed the "Spirit-like Narrator" in LA VICTIMA, Teatro Sinergia's A CITY PASTORAL PLAY and LOS DE ABAJO/ THE UNDERDOGS at the Bilingual Foundation of the Arts. Roberto received his bachelor of arts from Loyola Marymount University, and his Master of Music degree from California State University Northridge. He studies acting in LA and his credits span film, television, musical theater, and opera. Atkins Artist Management represents Mr. Alcaraz.


Natalie Herrera
(Young Selena)
Was born June 30, 1988 in Los Angeles, California. Natalie is the only daughter in the family. At age six she began to sing and dance. She later got interested in modeling and acting. Since she was six, she's been participating in many festivals, television programs, fashion shows and acting at the Garden Pavillion in Hollywood. At age 12 (present) she was given the opportunity to be in the play of "SELENA" since she is Selena's #1 fan. Her goal is to become a famous singer and actress.


Omar Gudino
(Young A.B.)
Is a native of Los Angeles, and received his training at the Edge Performing Arts Center. He recently played Mr. Mistoffelees and Pouncival in the German company of CATS, and before that he was a company member, and the assistant dance captain for the European tour of GREASE. He is very happy to be back in L.A. as a part of this production.


Natalie Amaya
(Young Suzette)
Is a native of the Bay Area and has been involved in music and the arts for as long as she can remember. She has performed in concert with Alvarro Torres in the U.S., Mexico and EL Salvador. She has been seen on television in Dick Clark's YOUR BIG BREAK performing "Flash Dance" and "What a Feeling." On El Salvador's Canal 2 she performed an original song written by her father. Natalie's favorite roles on stage include the narrator in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, and as Mary Magdelane in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. Natalie thanks her family and friends for their incredible love and support.


Agina Alvarez
(Teresa)
Is proud to be making her theatrical debut in Selena. Agina comes from four generations of musical performers. She began competing against adults at the age of 5 which earned her 2 gold medals in the World Championships of Performing Arts. Agina's singing talents have not gone unnoticed. and also performed a the famed Apollo Theater in New York. She has appeared on the SALLY JESSE RAPHAEL SHOW, EXTRA, JAKIE JACKSON (of the Jackson 5) TALENT SHOWCASE, SABADO GIGANTE and Televisa's BUEN DIA. She is currently in a Pop/R&B group called Gimme 5. Agina wishes to thank God, her family, friends and agents Karen Tobey, Cindy Osbrink also Steve and Dan, and Rosalinda Morales for supporting her desire to become star.


Bianca Collins
(Maria / Young Selena u/s / Theresa u/s)
Takes great pride in creating the role of Maria in this musical celebration. Having performed in theatrical productions since she was 3 years old, she is most proud of her Broadway credits that include ANNIE, THE CAPEMAN workshop where she worked closely with Paul Simon, Ruben Blades and Marc Anthony. Other theatrical credits include the National Tour of ANNIE, SOUTH PACIFIC and RUTHLESS! THE MUSICAL; on television LAW & ORDER, THE GUIDING LIGHT as well as independent films, commercials and recordings. First and foremost, Bianca thanks God, St. Genesius for the opportunities that she has been given; her manager, Ellen at James Levy Jacobson; her agent Victoria at KSA; her vocal coach, Lis Lewis, and her mother (the Tejana) and father (the Gringo).
